Tennessee HB0416 amends Title 49 of the Tennessee Code Annotated to change the election terms for school board members. Beginning with the 2028 election, all board members must be elected simultaneously. To align terms, members elected in the first election after January 1, 2026, will serve two-year terms. This act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
