This bill creates a new circuit court in Tennessee's twenty-eighth judicial district, effective September 1, 2025. The governor will appoint a judge to serve until September 1, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified. At the August 2026 general election, voters will elect a judge for an eight-year term. The bill also amends the Tennessee Code to reflect this change.
