SHORT_SUMMAR: Classifies failure to secure a firearm as reckless endangerment if a child under 13 is harmed.
Amends Tennessee law to classify the failure to lock, secure, or store a firearm as reckless endangerment if a child under 13 obtains the firearm, discharges it, and causes bodily injury, serious bodily injury, or death. The offense is a Class E felony for injury and a Class C felony for death. This act takes effect July 1, 2025.
