Tennessee HB0111 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 68-5-602, to require blood tests for syphilis, rubella, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C for pregnant women. Physicians and other authorized personnel must take a blood sample at the first prenatal visit or within ten days. Additional tests are required between the twenty-eighth and thirty-second week of gestation and at delivery. Positive results for syphilis, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C must be reported to the local health department.
