The bill amends Tennessee Code to expand the confidentiality of district attorney general meetings and legal counsel. It allows confidential, nonpublic executive sessions for the executive committee and finance and audit committee to discuss specific criminal or civil proceedings, audits or investigations, federal law protected information, and matters involving district attorney general pro tem. It also adds providing legal counsel and advice to district attorneys general and their staff as a duty of the conference. The changes apply to meetings held after the act becomes law.
