SB33 modifies the number of signatures required on election-related petitions in South Dakota.

SB33 amends South Dakota election laws to modify the number of signatures required on nominating petitions for various offices. For federal and statewide partisan public offices, the petition must be signed by at least one percent of the number of registered voters in the state. For legislative and county partisan public offices, the petition must be signed by at least one percent of the number of registered voters in the district, county, or part of the county.
