South Dakota SB31 amends voter registration procedures to allow a confirmation letter to verify a voter's registration. If a voter does not return the confirmation mailing by the deadline, their registration may be canceled. The confirmation mailing must include the voter's information and instructions on what to do if the information is correct, incorrect, or if the voter has moved. This Act is effective beginning December 1, 2026.
