The fund consists of moneys transferred from rural access infrastructure funds. Expenditures from the fund must be budgeted through the general appropriation bill. The Department of Revenue administers the fund, which can only be used for expenses of small structures inventoried with the department. Unexpended moneys are transferred to the state treasurer for deposit in the fund on June 30th of each odd-numbered year.
