Increases income limits for property tax assessment freeze in South Dakota.

South Dakota SB196 raises the income limits for a property tax assessment freeze. The bill adjusts the income thresholds annually based on the consumer price index. Eligible individuals must own and reside in a single-family dwelling for at least five years, reside there for at least 200 days in the previous year, and establish a base year. Surviving spouses of previous recipients are also entitled to the freeze.
