Amends the period for destroying election materials to twenty-two months after an election.

This bill changes the rules for how long election materials must be kept after an election. It allows the destruction of ballots and other election materials twenty-two months after the election, except if a recount or contest is pending. This applies to nonfederal, school district, and municipal elections. Federal election materials must be kept for twenty-two months.
