This bill clarifies the effect of the resignation of certain gubernatorial appointees in South Dakota. It specifies that if a person's term on a board or commission has expired, they remain on the board or commission until the Governor appoints another person and the Senate consents to the appointment or until the Governor reappoints the same person. If a person's term has expired and the Governor does not nominate another person, the resigned person must continue to serve until the Governor appoints another person, makes an interim appointment, or a date set in writing by the resigned.
