Prohibits natural asset companies from operating in South Dakota, voiding contracts and investments.

South Dakota HB1318 prohibits natural asset companies from operating, conducting business, or acquiring assets in the state. The bill defines a natural asset company as an entity that holds rights to ecological outcomes of a defined area. The secretary of state is directed to revoke certificates of authority for foreign natural asset companies and to not accept filings or fees from such companies. The bill voids any contracts with natural asset companies and prohibits state investments in these entities.
