Appropriates $10,000,000 for loans to custom exempt plants and slaughtering establishments in South Dakota.

This bill allocates $10,000,000 from the revolving economic development and initiative fund to the Governor's Office of Economic Development. The funds are intended to provide loans for the startup or expansion of custom exempt plants or slaughtering establishments in South Dakota. Each loan cannot exceed $1,000,000, and the loan provided by the office is subordinate to other loans for the same purpose. The commissioner of the Governor's Office of Economic Development approves vouchers, and the state auditor draws warrants to pay expenditures. The act becomes effective June 30, 2026.
