The bill creates a taskforce to study the continued technological development and impact of artificial intelligence systems on South Dakota. The taskforce will include representatives from various industries, educators, county auditors, and municipal officials. It will also include members appointed by the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council, the Governor, the chief justice of the Supreme Court, and the Board of Regents. The taskforce will deliver its findings and recommendations to the executive board by December 1, 2027.
