South Dakota HB1080 allows a business owner who is a veteran to display military specialty plates on a noncommercial vehicle registered to the veteran's business. The bill also limits the personal liability of the business owner and veteran to the business. The vehicle must be a noncommercial automobile, pickup truck, or van, and the owner must pay an additional fee for the military specialty plates. The veteran must be listed as an additional owner on the title and registration of the vehicle.
