South Dakota HB1072 provides funding for monthly payments to state employees based on their January 1, 2026 salary.

South Dakota HB1072 allocates funds to the Bureau of Finance and Management for monthly payments to state employees. Starting July 1, 2026, each state employee employed as of January 1, 2026, will receive one twelfth of one and a half percent of their annualized January 1, 2026 salary at the beginning of each month. Payments will not be made to employees who are no longer employed by the state. The Bureau of Finance and Management will distribute the funds to state agencies and other state entities with employees.
