Complete·4/22/26
Introduced Text

A resolution to express sorrow for the passing of Pearl Fryar and extend sympathy to his family and friends.

This resolution expresses profound sorrow upon the passing of Pearl Fryar and extends the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends. Pearl Fryar, a native of Clinton, North Carolina, was born in 1939 to a family of sharecroppers. He served in the United States Army in Korea, married his childhood sweetheart, Metra, and worked for American Can Company/Rexam for thirty-six years. He created a three-acre topiary garden on his property, transforming discarded trees and shrubs into an arresting landscape of living plant sculptures.
