South Carolina S0918 amends the South Carolina Code of Laws to revise definitions related to transportation network companies. It redefines "personal vehicle" as a vehicle used by a transportation network company driver for a prearranged ride, excluding taxis, charter buses, and charter limousines. It also redefines "prearranged ride" as transportation by a for-hire vehicle under a specific certificate or license, excluding shared expense carpools, vanpools, and nonemergency medical transportation. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
