Carlisle, a native of Aiken, has devoted over thirty-five years to collegiate golf as head coach of the University of South Carolina Aiken men's golf team. Under his leadership, the team has made thirty-one NCAA Tournament appearances and won three NCAA Division II National Championships. Carlisle has also received numerous awards for his coaching excellence and has contributed significantly to the golf community in South Carolina.
