South Carolina S0852 mandates removal of certain eviction records from public files.

South Carolina S0852 amends the state code to require the removal of public eviction notices from public files if an Order of Eviction or Writ of Ejectment is not filed within thirty days. Additionally, eviction filings and records must be removed from public files six years after final disposition. This includes cases resolved by settlement or payment. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
