South Carolina S0782 allows the Secretary of State to use various census data to determine population density for municipal incorporation.

South Carolina S0782 amends the South Carolina Code to allow the Secretary of State to use different types of census data when determining if a proposed municipality meets the population density requirement for incorporation. The bill specifies that the Secretary may use full census blocks, sub census blocks, special census areas, or reapportionment data. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
