The resolution acknowledges the historical significance of the two churches, Bethlehem United Methodist Church founded in 1868 and Mount Nebo United Methodist Church founded in 1888. The merger, which took place on June 25, 2025, was the result of much prayer, deliberation, and collaboration. The new church, Triune United Methodist Church, will celebrate the merger on August 10, 2025.
