South Carolina S0684 amends the state code to establish budgetary penalties for boards and commissions if any of their members fail to take the oath of office. Specifically, the State Treasurer will withhold direct funding to the board or commission, and it will not receive indirect funding appropriated in the general appropriations act. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
