This bill repeals laws that suspend or restrict driver's licenses for child support arrearages in South Carolina. It allows individuals whose licenses were revoked or who are operating under a route-restricted license due to child support arrearages to apply for a new driver's license. The new license will be issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles if the applicant meets all other requirements. The changes take effect upon approval by the Governor.
