Establishes minimum compensation requirements for direct care workers providing personal care services through Medicaid Home and Community-Based.

The bill amends the South Carolina Code to establish minimum compensation requirements for direct care workers providing personal care services through Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services. It mandates that by January 1, 2026, at least 70% of Medicaid reimbursement must be used to compensate direct care workers. This percentage increases to 75% by January 1, 2028, and 80% by January 1, 2030. The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services must also comply with federal regulations.
