South Carolina S0508 amends the state code to prohibit the relocation, removal, or disturbance of monuments or memorials related to colonial wars, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War, War Between the States, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, and any armed conflict involving South Carolinians, Native Americans, or African Americans. The bill also prohibits the transfer of real property necessary to maintain, access, or view these monuments or memorials to a private entity.
