Amends South Carolina law to remove preference for ALA certification or master's degree for chief librarians and library staff.

The bill amends Section 4-9-36 of the South Carolina Code to change the qualifications for chief librarians and library staff. It removes the requirement for county library boards to prefer or require chief librarians, library directors, or library employees to be certified by the American Library Association or hold a master's degree from an ALA-certified program. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
