The South Carolina Equine Advancement Act establishes the South Carolina Equine Commission to promote and improve the equine industry. The commission will provide grants to qualified recipients for eligible projects, including horse-breeding and residency incentive programs, horse-training centers, and equine-related instruction. It will also license advanced deposit wagering (ADW) applicants, who can offer electronic pari-mutuel wagering to residents. The commission will collect fees from ADW licensees and establish the Equine Industry Development Fund to support these initiatives.
