South Carolina S0336 amends the election process for judges by setting the first Wednesday of March for the General Assembly's joint session. The Chairman of the Judicial Merit Selection Commission will announce the nominees, and no further nominating or seconding speeches will be allowed. A candidate must receive a majority of the vote from the General Assembly members to be elected. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
