S.C National Guard Pension

Increases pension amounts for certain South Carolina National Guard members.

This bill amends the South Carolina Code to increase the pension for members of the National Guard of South Carolina who became members before July 1, 1993. The pension amount is based on years of creditable military service, with an additional $10 per month for each additional year of service. The total pension cannot exceed $120 per month. The pension amount is adjusted every three years based on the average of the twelve monthly consumer price indices for the most recent thirty-six months. The bill takes effect July 1, 2025.
