The bill amends the South Carolina Code to extend the validity period of eligibility examination scores for magistrates from six months to eighteen months. This change applies to examinations taken before and after the appointment time. The South Carolina Court Administration, in cooperation with the technical college system, will administer these exams. The results will assist senatorial delegations in recommending nominees for magistrate appointments. Effective upon approval by the Governor.
