Amends the composition of the State Commission for Minority Affairs to remove the requirement that a majority of the commission must be African.

The bill amends Section 1-31-10 of the South Carolina Code to change the composition of the State Commission for Minority Affairs. It removes the requirement that a majority of the commission must be African American. The commission consists of nine members and the Governor ex officio, with the Governor appointing one person from each congressional district and two persons from the state at large. The members serve four-year terms and the Governor designates the chairman. The bill takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
