The bill amends South Carolina law to limit the amount of land that can be owned or controlled by aliens or corporations owned by aliens to 510,000 acres. This restriction does not apply to lands owned or controlled by aliens prior to March 9, 1896, or to lands conveyed by an alien to a corporation controlled by that alien. The amendment takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
