South Carolina S0065 mandates school districts to adopt policies prohibiting student and employee use of wireless communication devices in classrooms.

South Carolina S0065 requires the board of trustees of each school district to adopt a policy addressing student and employee use of personal wireless electronic communication devices. The policy must prohibit the use of these devices in classrooms during academic instruction. If the policy includes confiscation, it must also provide for the return of the device to the owner. This policy must be included in the district's written student conduct standards.
