This bill amends the South Carolina Code to change the composition of the Clemson University Board of Trustees. It terminates the terms of the seven life trustees permanently on July 1, 2027, and prohibits any successors from being appointed. The General Assembly will elect a seventh trustee for a term beginning July 1, 2027, with subsequent trustees serving four-year terms. The General Assembly must elect trustees based on merit and aim for a board representative of all citizens.
