South Carolina H5680 amends lien enforcement for self-service storage facilities, allowing online publication of sale advertisements.
South Carolina H5680 modifies the enforcement of liens against occupants of self-service storage facilities. It allows the owner to publish an advertisement of the public sale of the personal property of an occupant in default once a week for two consecutive weeks on a publicly accessible website that regularly advertises or conducts property auctions or sales, in addition to the existing method of publishing in a newspaper of general circulation. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
