This bill amends the South Carolina Code to prohibit students in kindergarten through fifth grade from accessing digital devices at school and teachers from using digital devices to provide instruction or administer assessments to these students. Exceptions include medical devices, equipment integral to school operations, and calculators. The prohibition does not apply to public virtual schools or supersede obligations under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
