This bill allows eligible customers, defined as nonresidential customers with an estimated maximum demand for electric service of at least 100 kW at a single delivery point, to purchase all or part of their electricity demand from third-party electric suppliers. It establishes terms, conditions, and requirements for eligible customers, third-party electric suppliers, and incumbent electric suppliers. The bill mandates that the Public Service Commission approve a tariff containing a pro forma contract for eligible customers to enter into with third-party suppliers.
