Restricts voting in partisan primary elections to registered members of the political party.

Beginning January 1, 2027, only registered members of a political party can vote in a partisan primary election. Electors must declare their party affiliation when registering to vote. Parties can choose to open their primaries to unaffiliated voters. Until the first primary after January 1, 2027, voters can register by party at all partisan primary elections. The State Election Commission must assist county boards in capturing and maintaining voter registration data by party affiliation.
