Establishes eligibility for in-state tuition rates for certain residents of South Carolina and Georgia.
This bill amends South Carolina's tuition rates for state institutions. It allows independent persons who have been domiciled in South Carolina for at least twelve months to qualify for in-state rates, as well as those who have been domiciled for less than twelve months but are employed full-time in the state. Dependents of these individuals also qualify. It extends eligibility to independent persons from Chatham-Effingham and Bryan County, Georgia, and their dependents, as long as Georgia offers its Tuition Program. It prohibits non-U.S.
