SHORT_SUMMAR: Requires restitution for child support if DUI results in parent's death.
Amends South Carolina law to require sentencing courts to order restitution for child support if a defendant is convicted of DUI resulting in the death of a parent or guardian. The court must order the defendant to pay child support until the child reaches twenty-two years of age. If the surviving parent or guardian brings a civil action and obtains a judgment, the restitution order is offset by the amount of the judgment.
