South Carolina H4820 amends the state's workers' compensation law to increase the minimum weekly compensation for total disability to $150, effective July 1, 2027. The bill also establishes a mechanism for periodic inflation-based increases to this compensation amount. The South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission must publish the adjusted minimum weekly compensation amount by January 1 each year. The bill applies to injuries occurring on or after July 1, 2027.
