Billboard contractors

Complete·5/26/26

Bill exempts billboard installation, repair, or maintenance from contractor licensure.

The bill amends the South Carolina Code of Laws to exempt the installation, repair, or maintenance of signs, billboards, or billboard structures from contractor licensure. It specifies that an electrical license is required for the final connection to a branch circuit conductor. The installation or modification of a branch circuit conductor is not considered part of the installation, repair, or maintenance of a sign, billboard, or billboard structure. This change takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
