Establishes the Special Purpose District Accountability Office to ensure transparency and accountability of South Carolina's special purpose.

The South Carolina Special Purpose District Accountability and Transparency Act creates the Special District Accountability Office within the Office of the State Auditor. The office will maintain a public directory of all special purpose districts, collect and publish their annual budgets, financial reports, and other key documents. Districts must file these documents electronically and post them on the office's transparency portal.
