Physical Fitness Services bill allows automatic renewal of contracts with electronic notification.

The bill amends South Carolina law to allow automatic renewal of physical fitness service contracts for up to one month. The automatic renewal option must be clearly disclosed in bold, fourteen-point font on the front page of the contract and initialed by the customer. Near the contract's expiration, the facility must notify the customer electronically or in writing of the automatic renewal option. The price may not change without written notice to the customer at least thirty but not more than sixty days prior to the change.
