Amends the minimum age requirement for tattoo artists in South Carolina to eighteen years old.
The bill amends the South Carolina Code of Laws to change the minimum age requirement for tattoo artists from twenty-one to eighteen years old. It also mandates that tattoo artists must complete an annual course in blood borne pathology and tattoo infection control, and possess a current American Red Cross First Aid Certification and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification. These certificates must be displayed in a public area at the tattoo facility. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
