Bans transactional fees for cash or check payments at hotels, inns, and motels.
Amends the South Carolina Code to prohibit hotels, inns, boardinghouses, motor courts, and motels from charging a transactional fee when guests pay with cash or check. A transactional fee includes interchange fees and assessment fees. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
