South Carolina H4558, also known as the Sexual Offender Act, requires the Department of Motor Vehicles to affix a sexual offender identifier on the driver's licenses or special identification cards of certain sex offenders. The Department may charge a fee for affixing this identifier. Upon termination of sex offender status, the individual can obtain a new driver's license or identification card without the identifier.
