South Carolina H4535 amends the definition of "children's recreational facility" to include any facility or playground owned and operated by a city, county, or special purpose district, or any homeowner's association used for the purpose of recreational activity for children under the age of eighteen. The bill also restricts sex offenders convicted of certain offenses from residing within 1,000 feet of schools, daycare centers, children's recreational facilities, parks, or public playgrounds.
