South Carolina H4462 proposes term limits for state legislators and increases their monthly compensation.

South Carolina H4462 introduces term limits for members of the South Carolina House of Representatives and the South Carolina Senate, restricting them to a maximum of twelve years of service. The bill also increases the monthly in-district compensation for these legislators to $2,500, effective January 1, 2027, for House members and January 1, 2029, for Senate members. The changes will take effect upon approval by the Governor.
